As your Birth Doula, we are professionals with years of experience and countless trainings. But, choosing a birth doula is personal, and here at Looma Birth, we want to help you find the BEST fit for your journey. We want to not just show up for our clients as a qualified expert, but as a holistic, energetic, vibe match too.

You can be matched directly with a core team member including Elizabeth or be matched with a collective member. Things like experience and personality, budget, availability, and location can and will play a part in this matching process.

Serving Long Beach and Beyond

We offer doula care across Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Whether you're planning a home birth in East Long Beach or a hospital birth in Santa Monica or Irvine, our team is here to walk with you every step of the way.

We ideally meet 1-2 times before birth where we get to foster our relationship, and create a birth plan. In these meetings, we will prepare birth expectations, discuss possible scenarios for your laboring day, roll play labor and pushing positions, and plan how we will best work together to support the birthing person. We will make sure you have all necessary resources provided.

These sessions are a core part of our birth education approach, helping you and your partner feel informed and empowered.

When your birthing day arrives, your doula will be right there with you. Holding space, offering comfort techniques, and helping you navigate each moment with presence and support.

Once you are 38 weeks, we are on call for you until birth. We labor together, where our doula supports you in many ways - including comfort measures  that make it a more easeful experience. Depending on what helps you relax, our scope includes things like emotional and physical support, massage, rebozo, acupressure stimulation, essential oils, yoga positioning, education, personal experience, and more! Each Birth is unique and special, and we tailor our support to you and your family’s needs.

We have experience with hospital, birth centers, and home births. We will support all forms of birth. We have experience working with Bradley Method, Hypnobabies, and Hypnobirthing parents. Once you are 38 weeks, we are on call for you until birth. Our care doesn’t end at birth. We continue to check in, debrief, and offer resources so you feel held in the transition to life with your baby.

After birth, we will come to your home for one visit to help support you with breastfeeding, baby, and reflect on your birth journey. This time, whether its your first baby or your fifth, is a journey in and of itself and we are here to provide support and guidance to you and your (now larger) family.
