Birth is a big deal. So is bringing the baby home.
There is SO much focus on preparing for labor and birth.
Then you have a baby, come home, look at each other and realize...
Wait. Now what?
What does postpartum recovery actually look like?
And what exactly is the partner supposed to be doing through all of this?
That's why we created The Complete Birth + Babies Series.
Instead of piecing together classes, podcasts, Instagram posts and late-night Google searches, you'll spend two days with experienced birth and postpartum professionals learning what you actually need to know.
One day to prepare for birth. One day to prepare for baby.
And both days are designed for you and your partner.-
Empowered Hospital Birth
Prepare for birth.
Our signature childbirth class is designed specifically for families planning to give birth in the hospital.
We're not here to teach you how to have one particular kind of birth.
We're here to help you understand how birth works, what your options are, how to navigate the hospital environment and how to make informed decisions as your birth unfolds.
You'll learn:
How labor begins + progresses
How to know when it's actually time to go to the hospital
What happens when you arrive
Comfort measures + labor positions
How your partner can physically and emotionally support you
Epidurals + pain-management options
Common hospital interventions
Induction basics
How to ask questions + make informed decisions
Birth preferences + creating a flexible birth plan
Cesarean birth + unexpected changes
What happens immediately after your baby is born
And we're not spending the entire day sitting in chairs watching slides.
You'll move. Practice. Ask questions. Try positions. Work through scenarios. And actually prepare together.
The goal isn't to predict exactly how your birth will go.
It's to help you walk into it thinking:
We understand our options. We know how to work together. We can do this.

Bringing Baby Home
Prepare for baby.
Day two is all about what happens after the birth.
We'll prepare you for postpartum recovery, newborn life, feeding your baby and those surreal first days and weeks when you're figuring everything out together.
Newborn Care
What does a newborn actually need?
We'll cover:
Normal newborn behavior
Diapering + everyday baby care
Soothing techniques
Hunger + fullness cues
Newborn sleep expectations
What's normal — and when to call your pediatrician
Creating realistic expectations for those first weeks
Breastfeeding + Feeding Your Baby
Breastfeeding may be natural, but that doesn't mean it always comes naturally.
We'll help you understand:
What happens with milk in the first few days
Colostrum + milk production
Feeding cues
Latch + positioning
How often newborns actually eat
How to know your baby is getting enough
Pumping basics
Common early breastfeeding challenges
When + where to get additional support
Our goal isn't to make feeding feel like another thing you have to get “right.”
It's to help you understand what to expect and know where to turn when you need help.
Postpartum + Becoming Parents
Because someone needs to prepare you, too.
We'll talk honestly about:
Postpartum recovery
What the first days at home really look like
Rest + healing
Emotional changes after birth
Division of responsibilities
Visitors + boundaries
Protecting sleep where you can
Asking for and accepting help
How partners can support recovery + feeding
Navigating the transition from couple to parents
No pretending the newborn phase is all sleepy cuddles and matching pajamas.
We'll help you make a realistic plan for taking care of your baby and each other.

FAQ
-
Most families take childbirth education during the third trimester. We recommend choosing a series that gives you enough time before your due date to absorb what you've learned, practice together and finish preparing for baby.We deliver advisory and implementation services in strategy, operations, marketing, and technology.
-
Yes! Families look different, but who ever your support person is, they should be with you! This series is designed for both of you. Your registration includes the pregnant person and one support partner, and partners are actively involved throughout both days.
-
Come!
Empowered Hospital Birth isn't a natural-birth class. We talk about epidurals, unmedicated coping techniques, interventions, cesarean birth and the many ways hospital births can unfold.
The point isn't to choose the “right” birth.
It's to understand your options.
-
You're still welcome!
We'll teach you how breastfeeding and milk production work, what feeding looks like in the early days and how to recognize when you need additional help. Our goal is education and support not judgment about how you feed your baby. (And lots of mamas set it as a goal, but just don’t know how it’ll go!)
-
Yes. Empowered Hospital Birth is available as a standalone one-day class for $375 per couple.
-
It can be, or take it AFTER your hospital class when you still have lots of questions.
Our curriculum is designed to prepare you specifically for hospital birth while giving you plenty of hands-on practice, partner preparation and space for questions.
-
No. First-time parents make up many of our students, but families preparing for a different birth experience, a new hospital or simply wanting a more comprehensive refresher are welcome too.
