Sleep - if you’re anything like us, you know you love it! It is so vital to our physical and emotional well being. During your postpartum transition, it is even more vital to ensure and protect your sleep - and that’s where we, your postpartum doulas come in.

We are so much more than a night nany or even a newborn specialist. we will blend our care for you, our care for your baby, all while nuturing and nourishing your family.
There is mounting evidence in just how important this postpartum period is and how vital proper care is during this time period. New studies and generations of anecdotal evidence suggest that the postpartum period can influence the well-being of the mama, baby, and family for years to come. A postpartum doula encourages the sacred transition so a mother can be FULLY present with baby and heal. Let us help encourage and support you and your family as you all adjust to the newest little one.

As your postpartum doula we will support you and your family! This support takes many forms, and is customized based on your needs, but can include:
Personal care and support with Mama’s recovery.
Education on infant care - including soothing and comfort skills.
Breastfeeding support for baby - including advice on latching, breastfeeding positions, pumping, paced bottle feeding, sore nipples, and more. We also can provide a referral to lactation consultant if needed.
Foster family bonding. - helping the siblings transition to the new baby being home.
Knowledge and connection to various local mama communities to help you find the right mama circle for you.
Light housework: Tidy up, Fold laundry, do dishes, organize nursery for optimal infant care, as well as simple nutritional food preparation.

We love helping families sleep! It’s critical in helping mama heal from pregnancy and birth, and the supporting family around them need their zzz’s too. Our care is typically provided in 10 hour shifts. During a night shift our goal is the family to sleep soundly and heal. During that time, we will tidy up from the day, tend to baby (whether mama is breastfeeding or not - we will work with what’s best for your family), and ideally prep a hot breakfast for the family to wake up with.
We can discuss specifics of shifts in our consult and at the start of each shift.
